Hair Restoration Informational Resources

The internet has a lot of sites about hair restoration or hair loss.  Many of them offer information that in many cases over-promise or even contain false information. We have compiled a list of key sites that provide excellent information on hair loss conditions.

American Hair Loss Council  – “There is a great deal of information out there about hair loss, but what solution is right for you? The American Hair Loss Council is the nation’s only, unbiased, not-for-profit agency, dedicated to sorting through this information, discovering what works and what doesn’t, and presenting our findings to the consumer.”

Hair Foundation  – Hair Loss & Treatment – Full or partial hair loss can cause social trauma and lower self-esteem about one’s appearance and it can be embarrassing for both men and women. National Alopecia Areata Foundation – “The National Alopecia Areata Foundation (NAAF), is a 501(c) organization (Federal Tax ID is 94-2780249). Headquartered in San Rafael, CA, NAAF supports research to find a cure or acceptable treatment for alopecia areata, supports those with the disease, and educates the public about alopecia areata. NAAF is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors and a prestigious Scientific Advisory Council. American Hair Loss Association – “The American Hair Loss Association is committed to educating and improving the lives of all those affected by hair loss. It is our goal to create public awareness of this devastating disease of the spirit, and to legitimize hair loss of all forms in the eyes of our medical community, the media and society .”
